The Open Championship

The Open Championship is the biggest golf tournament of its kind, and when it gets under way on July 15 the greatest players in the modern game will face the challenge of the Old Course at St Andrews, where golf has been played for over 600 years.

Since we launched the R&A website in June 2010, we’ve worked closely with Endava to launch the latest golfing site - The Open Championship. The site covers every aspect of the tournament from the claret jug and history, to the biographies, results and statistics for every player who will be competing for golf’s greatest prize at the 150th Anniversary Open Championship.

The site is being also supported by the official Open Championship iPhone application which we developed with The R&A and Future Workshops; this App has now reached #1 for free sports apps and we’ll be releasing more apps to support the tournament over the coming weeks.
