Rules of Golf for iPhone & iPad

As golf’s governing body, The R&A is responsible for writing both the Rules of Golf and the Rules of Amateur Status. We’ve worked closely with the R&A to develop The Official Rules App for the iPhone and iPad.

This App covers every issue that can arise in a round of golf; from on-course behaviour to the complete Rules of Golf (2008 – 2011). The Quick Guide to the Rules makes sure that you know what to do if you find yourself in any of the most frequently-occurring Rules scenarios and has been designed for quick and easy reference with numerous images, diagrams and video footage. The App also includes a guide to the essential Etiquette of the game, in which two-time Open Champion Padraig Harrington explains the rights and wrongs relating to pace of play, care of the course and consideration for other golf users.

This App goes hand-in hand with The Open Championship App to celebrate the tournaments 150th anniversary which takes place in St. Andrews 11th – 18th July 2010.
